18 1/4" long with a 12 3/4" blade
W pattern damascus - Dark Star Pattern
African Blackwood handle
6mm cabochon cut jade set in 18K gold top and bottom
Puzzle integral construction
This was an incredibly difficult knife to make. Flat ground, hollow ground, convex ground. This knife is more difficult than a quillion dagger. I have
been cut 5 times by this knife already. Fortunately no stitches. Simply, it is two pieces. The blade and the wood. There is a pin going from top to bottom. The pin is covered with the 18K gold
set jade stone. The gold and stone setting was made by Shelby Mihalevich.
I enjoyed making this knife because it was quite a challenge and once you go through a project like this you gain more knowledge about your
craft.
This piece will be on display at Blade Show, May 31-June 2 at Booth 159.
